  1. Meh. The first season of Homeland was good. Only because there actually is a terrorist in it doesn't make it any less critical. You're overreacting on this.
Besides the acting is the best you can see anywhere on current TV.

  2. Gee, I had no problem with the terrorist. The issues lay elsewhere.

  3. Enlighten me?
I was actually floored by the series. Mind you, I'm a sucker for good acting.

    1. Huh. I do not agree with you. Granted, the "kill the president" plot isa quite tired cliché, but the reasons and the implications are much more complicated.

And what's quite clear is that if the attack had been successful, it wouldn't have been that bad. Because the Vice President is the real villain here. That guy isn't "The Leader of the Free World (TM)". He's a corrupted, lying asshole and he bloody well deserves to die.

That's what special about the story. And I love it.

Besides, it's also an amazing love story. Not a nice and happy love story, but the sort that breaks your heart. It certainly broke mine.

And since I'm a masochist and like it when people make me cry, I love the series, clichés and all. To me, it's just real good drama. You shouldn't watch it as political commentary.
